  I would give this negative stars if I could. I'm still waiting for the day I can afford a lawyer and sue this place. Here's the story:
  
  I was visiting friends in Richmond for one of my friend's birthdays. This is the club the birthday girl decided to go to. It was kind of a dead night but we were just dancing together. Some guy started talking to me and I was casually chatting with him on and off during the night. He eventually asked if my friends and I wanted to go into the VIP section with him and his friends. I asked my friends if they wanted to go but they declined. Soon after that I went to the bathroom by myself and came back out to see all of my friends in the VIP section anyway. I thought to myself "Oh they must have changed their minds!" I got excited and ran over there to ask what changed, but before I could get a word out the security guard puts my hands behind my back. I'm not really sure why he saw me as a threat or didn't bother to ask me any questions first. It was like he was arresting me. I tried to explain to him what was going on and tried to get the attention of the guy who invited me in the first place but next thing I knew I was on the ground. Video footage that I asked the cops to get later showed that the guard had caused me to slip and he fell on top of me. This man, I kid you not, is the size of a linebacker. He was triple my size. All 200 plus pounds of this man fell on top of me causing my head to slam against the ground and for me to land on my mouth. My front tooth chipped down to the gum and my lip was bleeding everywhere. But this is what makes it worse: This man then picks me up and carries me out to the elevators. Him and his manager demanded I get out, and I asked repeatedly what in the world did I do wrong. The manager then tells me that the guard claimed I SWUNG on him. I guess because the guard couldn't own up to his mistakes he had to come up with a LIE and said I tried to punch him. Video footage from the cops proved that I had never swung on him. The thought of doing so never even crossed my mind why in the world would I swing on a man triple my size? I wouldn't even be as mad about the situation if he had simply said sorry and helped my bleeding face but I guess his pride couldn't handle that. The lying is what really makes me sick about this whole situation. Instead of listening to me the manager chose his guard's word over mine and told me to get out. He threatened to call the cops and I almost wanted them to because there was literally nothing I did wrong. Why couldn't the guard use simple communications skills? This could have all been avoided if he literally just talked to me instead of going straight to "arresting" me. He saw me walk in and even checked my ID when I came in. He knew exactly who I was with and that they were all in that section. There was not enough people in the bar to all of a sudden think I was a stranger and a threat. I was not belligerently drunk or acting ignorant. I still ask myself if it was because I was the only black girl in the group.
  
  To this day this incident makes me so angry. I'm traumatized. This establishment needs to teach their guards about not using excessive force and using just a little communication. That guard also needs to pay for the dental bills it took to pay for a new tooth. I pray every day that I can find a lawyer I can actually afford to take on this disgusting place. Nobody deserves to be treated the way I was.
